For Getting Started in Rhode Island:US Government sites:
- The RI Secretary of State will send you copies of the Rhode Island State forms you need to open your business. Click on your type of business to see them listed.
- Another page on the Secretary of State website is where you register your new business entity.
- The RI Division of Taxation is all about Rhode Island Income taxes - business and personal, resident and non, estimated taxes, online filing and more.
For Funding:
- USA.gov is a pot pourri of information on buying and selling to the Government, exporting, laws and business statistics.
- IRS provides information about taxes including forms of organization, classifying employees, online filing and much more.
- U.S. Census Bureau, State & County Quick Facts gives population, income, and other key statistics for the state of Rhode Island and for your Town by selecting it from the pull-down menu.

- Rhode Island Lenders is a list of banks offering SBA guaranteed loans.
